Back to School/Back to Life

School started again for our town and I, like most mom’s am sad and happy about it. Sad me can barely comprehend how quickly my daughter is traversing life, and I am slightly dreading the “busy-ness” that lies ahead…the carpools, homework, structure, and end of care-free summer days. The happy me is ecstatic to finally be feeling well enough to ponder my next phase. What should I do with my mid-fifty life? Where should I put my talents? What do I want my year to look like?

One thing I plan to do is to update this website. I hope to blog regularly and hopefully develop an arena for like-minded people to discuss hormones, aging, Lyme disease and add a few of my interests such as yoga, cooking, meditation and life balance. I’m going to try to do something new, maybe art or a dance lesson.

How are you guys coping with the end of summer?

  1. Hi Phuli,
Ok. I’m a bit late in replying to this post, but I just happened to mention to a friend that she should read your book and I wanted to send her your website link. It is so good to hear that your health is improving.
I think about how much you have helped me feel better and I keep passing on your website and book info to people when I can. I wish I could find someone like you down here in Chapel Hill.
High school has been a great change for Lia. She is enjoying it so far. Luckily it is just down the street. We love just sweeping the snow and not shoveling it. 🙂 miss you

  2. Do you know how wonderful and special you are? I still rely on your book The Hormone Makeover and would really like to have an appointment with your associate doctor who you trained. I wasn’t able to afford an appointment with her a couple of years ago and would like to set an appointment if you can please send me her info. I’m sorry to learn on your blog your concern about your illness from Lyme’s disease. Raw Food Expert David Wolfe should be able to help. I also read about Lyme’s disease in Dr. Cass Ingram’s The Cure is In the Cupboard: How to use Oregano for Better Health. Also, doesn’t niacin help build new nerve pathways? I am curious about how foods can play a part in our healing. I am creating my own success coping with hormone changes and allergies . My passion is food and herbs and supplements and I need someone who can help me figure out a career to help others. I not only have the passion but the compassion. I hope you are feeling much better and can create your way back to perfect health as I am also trying to do. I would contact the best people and books by great people. Your book is one I treasure for me. I am only an hour from Boston and would love to attend your workshops. Please let me know when your next workshop begins. I hope that you can have a workshop about coping with Hashimoto’s hypothyroid and multiple food allergies. Thanks
